Product/Items: Backoffice needs the option NOT TO APPLY ONE OR ALL DISCOUNTS to a specefic item

andy 2 years ago in BACKOFFICE / RESTAURANT BACKOFFICE updated by Product Engineering 11 months ago 0

The condition is: A bar has a special discount for alcohol products. Their menu is organized into Department: LIQUOR and by sub-categories like Rum, Tequila, Vodka, Whiskey, etc. Each sub-category has about 20 to 30 items. This discount IS NOT APPLY TO THE SUPER PREMIUM ALCOHOL ITEMS that are inside those sub-categories.

Currently, I will have to create the discount. Select the level as MENU ITEM and then enter every single NOT SUPER PREMIUM menu item in the selection list. This means I have to select more than 80 items one by one.

By adding an option in PRODUCT/ITEM that would work similarly to "Restrict Service Types From Kitchen Print" but for DISCOUNTS. I would be able to create this discount more efficiently:

Create Discount VIP-PARTY

             Level: Department

                        Liquor

Go to My SUPER PREMIUM ITE,

            "Restrict Discount": VIP-PARTY

Done. Very simple.

Employee Report: Filter Active/Inactive Employee from Employee dropdown field

Brad Bryant 3 years ago in BACKOFFICE / RESTAURANT BACKOFFICE updated by Product Engineering 11 months ago 0

In Reports -> Employee -> Attendance Make it so that when Active/Inactive is selected the Employee dropdown field filters based on that selection. I understand the need to keep inactive employee data but 95% of the time that report is being used for active employees and the inactive employees tend to take up more of the list.

Sales by Meal Time or Daypart

Ryan Nicley 3 years ago in BACKOFFICE / RESTAURANT BACKOFFICE updated by Product Engineering 11 months ago 3

We are being asked for a report that would show sales by meal type or daypart. For example, we would want to define the times of day for  Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner somewhere in the settings and then be able to run a report to see the sales for each of those dayparts for a given date range.

Menu Item Not Discountable

Punk Rhino 3 years ago in BACKOFFICE / RESTAURANT BACKOFFICE updated by Product Engineering 11 months ago 0

I would like to see a selection on each item as its created to make it either discountable or not discountable.

So if i create an item no discount or comp can be applied to said item.

Adding a customer name option to organize transaction receipts vs by check number

Anna Want 4 years ago in BACKOFFICE / RESTAURANT BACKOFFICE updated by Product Engineering 11 months ago 1

For the transactions reports there are multiple toggle options. It would be great that in addition to check number the "name of the customer" can also be displayed for easy access. Since we are having issues with loyalty points recording correctly this will help us track how many of our member customers came up in a transaction period so we can fix the loyalty points manually.

Tip Sharing

Mike Palmer 4 years ago in BACKOFFICE / RESTAURANT BACKOFFICE updated by Product Engineering 11 months ago 1

Tips shared vs Tip Pooling

Today Linga has Tip Pooling and Automatic Tip Share

In certain states automatic tip sharing in illegal

In true tip sharing the Server A say "I want to give x amount to x Bartender/Runner/Host. The tip is deducuted from Server A and provided to Bartender/Runner/Host

Example:

The standard for most restaurants in Host is 1% Bartender is 1.50% and Runners 4%

Server makes $100 in tips

Host gets $1

Bartender gets $1.50

Runner gets $4

Server left over is $94.50

The way Ligna has this set up is Tip Pooling

Total of Tips for all servers, bartenders, host and runners to share the pot.

Tip Pooling works great in Panera style QSR locations. Not in Full TSR mode.

menu item applicable time period

Vero 5 years ago in BACKOFFICE / RESTAURANT BACKOFFICE updated by Product Engineering 11 months ago 2

The ability to just choose the Time (not date) that an item is going to be available on the POS and OLO.

For example:  Lunch Items should only appear from 8:30am-5:00pm (doesn't matter what day of the week).

Make product modifier pre-fixes 'mandatory'

Elena 5 years ago in BACKOFFICE / RESTAURANT BACKOFFICE updated by Product Engineering 11 months ago 1

Right now, the way we have it set up, our modifiers have 4 pre-fixes ("Add", "No", "On the side" and "Sub"). When a customer wants to add a modifier (such as avocado) hitting the pre-fix "Add" is what charges them the cost of that item; we run into issues with our online ordering because customers are clicking on only the modifier (example avocado) but they are not being forced to click any of the prefixes, therefore they aren't being charged the cost of the modifier.
Once the customer has picked their modifier (avocado, bacon, cheese etc), we need to force them to pick a pre-fix so if adding, they get charged for that modifier.

negative pricing on modifiers or items

Mark Z 6 years ago in BACKOFFICE / RESTAURANT BACKOFFICE updated by Product Engineering 11 months ago 4

It would be nice to be able to have negative pricing on especially modifier items.

If a customer doesn't want something that typically comes with a menu item, it will subtract out the difference by clicking on the modifier
