Pricing for Retail Items

Sean Tinsman 5 years ago in BACKOFFICE / RETAIL BACKOFFICE updated by Product Engineering 2 months ago 3

Linga currently uses a “markup percentage pricing method to set the selling price of a retail item. This makes the process of creating retail items much longer. Additionally it gives the merchant less control over desired pricing and forces the use to use decimals. We would like the ability to simply enter our item cost and item selling price as well without margin input requirement. Please see example included.

EMPLOYEE CASHIER OUT REPORTS [TIPS & GRATUITIES]

Manny Jimenez 3 months ago in BACKOFFICE updated by Hardy Singh 1 month ago 3

The Tips and Gratuity section is pretty confusing with numbers that don't add up.  This is a new site and they charge 3% to the credit card tips, but the math isn't mathing.

If there is a gratuity on a check and that check is paid with a CREDIT CARD then the Tip Charge should apply to that Gratuity.

If there is a gratuity on a check and that check is paid with CASH then there is no Tip Charge needed.

Can you please reformat the [TIP / GRATUITY] section to show as the example.

Added Bonus if the Server/Bartenders can have their CC Transactions listed above the [SUMMARY] section.  This will allow them to see if there is a mistake or if they missed any.  Every system from Aloha to Toast  has this.  The more familiar we make the reporting the more comfortable the customer will be and less phone calls we will receive

Check No.  Amount    Tip/Grat      Total

1-009         $90.00       $20.00       $110.00

2-017         $115.00     $40.00       $155.00

1-099         $40.00       $0.00         $40.00

Add a payment section on reports that calculates the total Credit Card Deposit amount

Jacques Baudoin 6 months ago in BACKOFFICE updated by Hardy Singh 1 month ago 2

Can you please add an extra section on the sales reports that show the total credit card bank deposit amount?.  Right now you have to manually add up 5 different numbers on the report in order to get this number.   The customer should be able to easily check and balance their bank deposits with the Linga reports and right now they have to manually add the following information up to come up with the deposit amount.  Please contact us if you would like further details / examples.

1.Payment Summary

Credit Card

2.Other payment

online payment

3. Tip/Gratuity

Credit card

4. Tip/Gratuity

Online tip

5.(MINUS) Refunds

Non/cash refunds

Report By Day Part

matt dorzok 7 months ago in BACKOFFICE updated by Hardy Singh 1 month ago 0

Need all reports to be able to be run for a specific time period or day part.

If we could define day parts - Breakfast 6am-9am, lunch 11am-4pm, Dinner 4pm-12am, then run a report by day part so see all sales, discounts, payments etc

Entering customer info in BO

bfarmer 8 months ago in BACKOFFICE updated by Hardy Singh 1 month ago 1

We need to have the option to only enter in the customers first name and phone number in BO. You can do this on the POS, but if you want to add customers in BO, you have to enter in more than just the first name and phone number. If you enter the information on the POS incorrectly and you want to edit the customer info you have to enter a last name and email address and not all merchants have this info nor do they want to have to enter this.

This columns can be marked as optional field when uploading the customer data to back office.

Change the default tip amount to 10%

Vineyard Grocer 1 year ago in BACKOFFICE / RESTAURANT BACKOFFICE updated by Product Engineering 1 month ago 0

Hey there,

One feature that we need is a way to change the default tip to 10%. For example, when the customer comes to pay for their order and the tip screen pops up, it shows the total amount of the order plus the tip, which is currently set to 0. We would like to set it to default to 10%, and the customer can choose whether to leave that amount or not. We need this because our tip amount has decreased by more than 60% since we changed the POS system. In our previous system, we could set 10% as the default for all our customers, and most of them would tip accordingly. However, now that we don't have this feature, we barely receive any tips.

If you could please take a look at this matter since we really need it, and it's a basic feature that most systems have, we would be really glad!

Downloadable (CSV, Excel, Google Sheets) Daily breakdown of Dashboard Metrics

KJJ 1 year ago in BACKOFFICE updated by Product Engineering 1 month ago 0

Image 270

Can a daily line item breakdown be available for download that lists the same metrics that are shown on the Dashboard?  Currently when a week or month is selected, the metrics are combined without the option to show day by day so its easily able to copy and paste.  COGS for example, you have to click each day and load the metrics to get daily COGS percentage, same for ticket count. Similar to how the system breaks down Net Sales by day but include COGS and transaction count.  See photo

Please reach out with any questions, I'd love to support this initiative in moving forward.
