Ability to cancel an order before send to kitchen

Would be nice to quickly cancel an order and/or delete all selected items before sent to kitchen.   Currently, if a employee that has a role that CANNOT void items or checks needs to quickly cancel an order or delete items, they need to manually swipe every item on the check left to delete.   Often times, someone rings in a bunch of items and then realizes before they send to kitchen that the order is no longer needed, or a bartender is simply checking prices on shots and then wants to cancel.   Deleting items is time consuming.

Partial Refund

We would like to partially refund a check after it has been paid. For example, a check contains a pizza and a burger. The check is paid. But now we need to void the burger. Square for Restuarants, Revel, and Lightspeed all have this feature. It is normal and an essential feature in a restaurant POS. I can't understand why it's missing from Linga.

Where the kitchen check says TABLE: STORE They would like it to coincide with the service type , like delivery or pick up it should say that type instead of store

Front of House: Manipulate current prep time and Online Order availability

We've heard feedback from some of our customers as to how cumbersome it can be to manipulate the prep time and online ordering availability from the back of house. 

Other cloud-based POS have the ability to do this from the Front of House terminal, from what I've seen it's usually an option at the top of the screen, and some systems even allow for toggling/manipulating throttling settings using the same workflow - any of these enhancements would be a very welcome addition to the system.

Cashier Out / Detailed Check Listing Section with all checks, payments and tips including a total line

On the cash out report list all the servers checks with the check number, check total,  payment type tip and total. Grand total all checks at the bottom of the section. This is commonly used to verify the cash collected vs tips earned. Provides a quick and easy way to resolve any questions or discrepancies without a lot of work sorting through tickets or reports. The server and manager can quickly agree that the cash expected number is correct, or determine if a tip or payments was improperly applied to a check.

Re-Print Merchant & Customer copy of the Credit Card authorization.

Need to have the ability to re-print Credit Card slips.  Currently you have to reopen a check, go to payment highlight the payment, select print then submit payment.  Reopening a check is a security issue and in mixed QSR / Table service using CDS it is not possible to print CC slips to deliver to the table for signature and tip with out reopening the check after payment.  Suggestion to have under check status/Closed  their are two buttons re-open and re-print add a re-print Authorization slip with  security under roles.

Prompt for Manager Approval

If an employee role does not have permission to perform an activity it should prompt for a manager code instead of being greyed out completely.  (Example - Server Role does not have permission to Tax Exempt.  The server should be able to log into the check, press the Tax Exempt button, and have a manager input their code to allow Tax Exempt.)  Same option available for Open Items, Pay Outs, etc.

Multiple items with the same name

There are times when you have the exact same item in multiple menus/sub-menus but due to the limitation of no name duplication this is not possible.  

Scenario 1 - There are multiple bars located in a venue.  A Budweiser at the inside bar costs $4 plus tax (tax add), a Budweiser purchased at an outside bar costs $5 (tax inclusive).  These are the same items purchased from the vendor but are sold differently in the venue.  The Category would both be BEER but the Sub-Category would be different as they are on different menus with different tax strategies but still selling the same items in both bars.  Yes a simple name change may suffice but ideally the name would be the same given it is the same item.

Scenario 2 - Same as above except the same price and tax.  Site wants a "speed screen" type button as the outside bar only has a limited selection of items they sell and they don't want the staff to have to navigate the various menus to find the items.  Currently you have to rename the items to do this which then you have to add them together on the Sales Reports even though it is the exact same item.

Not allowing duplicate names makes sense to maintain a cleaner/smaller database but the limitations outweigh the advantages.

Prefixs at the Modifier Group Level

I would be beneficial to have Prefix for modifiers assignable at the Modifier Group Level. That way, I could use the same modifier in different groups and have the Prefixes be custom to that group instead of whatever prefixes may already be assigned to the actual modifier. This just gives me more customization within the menu.
