We need to have an option to send gust automatic email after they place an online order to let them know when they can pick up their order

Great Idea! Just like Chow Now where the merchant can send out a follow up email indicating a time expectation!
In the past Linga has told me that this is available with the KDS. I would like to have it available with no KDS. But, the email would need to be 'customizable' due to how busy we are
